Slovakia trip report: Slovakia 2003

Let me start this report with the final evening second to last of the team activities. On arriving back at the hotel from our last game we all got together at the bar. Each player and guest got up and made a toast to Raki and Bajo for the great time they had. I know this sentiment is shared by the whole team but I will reiterate it here. To organize a trip like this must have taken hours of planning and organizing and negotiating for our travel itinerary. Each and every one of us feels a whole hearted thanks to Bajo and Raki for there total unselfish efforts on our behalf. This was made very evident by the toasts. Raki and Bajo went way out of their way to show us their country and their town, and region. More Slovakia news.

We are AGAIN Winners of the Scottish Winter Challenge Cup 2002

Just like in 2001 Slough Tornados have shown again the power of their team (on and off the ice) and won it again!!! Congratulations to Alan Gray (Best Goalkeeper), Raki (MVP in Finals) and Dave Tweedy (Best Defender). It's that time of year again when the AGM draws near and awards are again presented. All registered members should e-mail Simon with their vote for the Players' Player award and for the Ass of the Year award (Mike Fay again maybe!!). Also you should have a think about who you would like as Captain and Assistant Captains next season. If you feel you would like to contribute more to the team than you do already you should be prepared to offer your services at the AGM.

A fond farewell to Todd Carlson who has also played his last game for the Tornados as he is leaving to work in Dubai.

All the best, guys.
