At the Tornados AGM Raki was voted in as the new coach since we are saying good-bye to Simon. Simon, who has been with the Tornados for many years, is moving away from Slough with his job so big thanks to Simon for all he has done over the years. Also at the AGM, Lydia Westcombe was officially voted in as Secretary replacing Mike Fay and Rhian Hayes was officially voted in as Treasurer replacing Kevin Barsby. Many thanks to Mike and Kevin for all their hard work.

Awards given at the AGM were as follows:

The Tornados have entered for 2 tournaments so far this season. The Glenrothes tournament in Scotland on the 17th and 18th November and the 2002 Summer Cup. They will be hoping to retain the SUmmer Cup after winning again this year. Unfortunately the new cup competition proposed by UK Ice Hockey received little support from teams and is not going ahead.

As far as tournaments and cups go an exciting 2001 is ahead of us. We will be entering the Telford Rec tournament on the first weekend in July (keep it free) and a new cup competition is being held by the ISL in the Autumn which encompasses all senior hockey teams from Rec to Superleague. It is said to be organised similarly to the FA Cup with the top league teams coming in later on in the competition so there are giant killing opportunities. We'll keep you posted!

Last but not least, the Tornados would like to thank Lydia Westcombe for taking over as club secretary from Mike Fay. Mike was no longer able to fulfill the position due to work and family commitments.
